Real Money Piece was a reinterpretation of a performance by Lee Lozano created in 1969. Both in the original work and in Mann's version, the artist offers a variety of things to visitors, including coffee, bourbon, and a jar of money (from the sale of an artwork). Each interaction with visitor(s) is documented through written text. While Lozano's project took place over the course of 3-4 months, Mann's lasted 3-4 hours. The piece was performed as part of a project called "1969" by artist Vincent Ramos and reviewed in the blog Another Righteous Transfer! by Carol Cheh.
