Propositional Worlds

October 27-28, SITE/less Chicago, IL

1250 W. Augusta Blvd.
Chicago, Illinois 60642

"Propositional Worlds" is an expanded program of participatory written choreographic scores, interactionist dance, and instructionist performance works profiled in Propositional Attitudes, edited by Elana Mann and John Burtle (Golden Spike Press, LA, 2018) and Perfect Worlds: Artistic Forms & Social Imaginaries by Michael Workman (StepSister Press, Chicago, forthcoming) Following its one-day installation, October 23, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Mat Rappaport’s “range”—a delivery truck mounted with multiple external cameras— will “dock" at SITE/less's loading bay where, in collaboration with architect David Sundry, it will become an architectural interface and interactive point of entry. Works from "Propositional Attitudes" will be performed each evening throughout the weekend. Featured artists and performers include, Elana Mann, John Burtle, Michael Workman, Jose Santiago Perez Udita Upadhyaya, Dana Reason, Melissa Potter, Zephyr Dance artist Molly Fe Strom, and special Zephyr guest artist Sara Zalek. In addition, viewers will be able to engage and enact with a suggestive environment comprising material prompts from the scores and a curated display of instructions from "Propositional Attitudes".
