Take a Stand Marching Band is a street performance group, which began at the Los Angeles Women's March on January 21, 2017. The Band resists the injustices unfolding under the Trump administration and within local communities. Take a Stand Marching Band uses Elana Mann's sculptures, the “hands-up-don’t-shoot-horn” and “histophone,” and other musical device, joining demonstrations and other actions with sculpture, song and dance.
